Specs on CAS bolt 99gsx

I just got my motor back from my engine builder and he says he lost the Cam sendor bolt. He says it is a special bolt so I shoild get it from the dealer. I called and the dealer cannot find the bolt on the parts diagram. Guy was a moron. Anyways does anyone have either the specs of the bolt or a part # this is a 7 bolt in a 99 gsx. This would be the bolt that goes into the camshaft.

How special? does it have a different head or a special hole in it for something? if not then i would imagine a steel bolt from ace hardware would work? I remember on my ford ranger, the belt tensioner bolt broke when we changed the head gasket and the dealership told me it was special and i needed to find one in a junkyard or order one (125$ FOR A BOLT!) but i got the thread pitch and size from the dealer and used a steel bolt from ace (1.25$) and it worked perfect and still to this day is working fine

Force that "builder" to get the bolt. It is not your responsibility at all and if you rig it and for some reason it fails and causes damage and you sue him you will lose. Make him fix his mistakes.

Any 8mm x 1.25 will do. There's not much stress on it and just holds the CAS trigger wheel in place.

Nice to know! this sounds like same issue i mentioned above that i had. EASY FIX

If I paid full boat for it I would agree. I traded him some items I had here for the work. If something bad happened again he would fix it for me.
