Hi everyone.
Here is my story... I went out and bought new plugs and wires to replace old/bad ones. I ended up buying the Pulstar spark plugs for my 2ng, 420A. HOLY SHIT!!! Those plugs were worth every penny [No, they aren't.], but that is beside the point. I gapped the plugs, installed them when the engine was ice-cold, and all was well for about a week...then my engine started making a clunking noise. After a while of trouble-shooting, i realized my plugs had loosened themselves inside and were making noise. I looked up the correct torque specs and tightened them back down. I took her out for a test drive/fun run and by the time i got back to my house (30 mins of driving) the noise was back and the plugs were loose again.

What kind does your motor use? Washer plugs or Tapered?

Washer plugs needs to be torqued down a good quarter turn after they seat in the plug bore. Taper only needs an eight of a turn to be torqued down.

If you use washer and they gave you taper, wrong plug are used then.

If you do use washer and no washer came with then, then this will be your problem - you need the washers.

One thing though: Plugs made by an aftermarket such as Pulstar (gasp!) may not meet requirements needed for each assigned motor - why it's not too wise to use these plugs and why it's more recommended to keep with factory plugs.

tighten them down harder... Warm the car up and let them cool down.. before it is tooo cold just check them... I will start the car for like 1 minute and recheck..

Your threads could already be flattened/stripped which is why it's not holding toque. Use a different torque wrench or have yours calibrated to be sure. You can use the 1/8-1/4 turn rule but I prefer to be certian I'm tightening the plugs properly in such a delicute and difficult to repair location. Double check like DSM1G90 whether you received the right style plug, then as a last resort before repairing the threads, overtighten. If that still doesnt work check out Keen-Serts for the proper thread repair.
