spark plug blew up

ok so i have some really bad news. while i was driving my sparkplug exploded and melted the plug cable at the same time. there are chunks of it everywhere incliding in the motor too because i can hear them clanking around while i was pulling over. what i need to know is what am i gonna have to do to fix it my self and what i will need to buy.

I would be interested in knowing what brand of spark plugs you were using? and how old they were. It probably happened because of extremely high internal temp. It possibly the engine was running really lean and overheated the plug. Eitherway goodluck and pull the head off to be safe.

The other reason could be over-torquing the plug or running a plug with a heat range waaaaay too hot.

ok im gonna try the vacuum trick. what about the little ceramic pieces that are probably stuck up against the wall that i cant get out , what will happen to them. Any chance they will just burn away or am i completely screwed with this motor because i dont think im gonna wanna waste the money to get the cylinder bored out since then ill have to get new pistons and rings....

If you can't get them out, they won't burn. Eventually they will rattle their way out the tailpipe. Hopefully without damaging your turbo or valves on the way.

Or scoring the cylinder walls.
