Can I hook an aftermarket amp to where my factory amp ### I have it disconnected ### when it's connected n I have some bass it shuts the speakers off does any one know why this is

If you just unplugged the stock one, and plugged it into your new one, you might want to check your connections. You might have a wire exposed and shorting it out and it turns off to keep your amp from blowing.

It's the stock amp that keeps shutting off not the aftermarket I haven't put it in yet because I don't want it to shut off like the stock so will it work maybe the stock shuts off ### too much power from speaker

Yea if you ave an aftermarket stereo hooked to it as well it might be to much power for that amp to run, so its shutting off

on the aftermarket amp there is something called hpf , lpf and full. Put it on hpf and turn the hpf knob to the 1k side

little off topic but where is the amp? is it under the passenger seat?

Yes stock amps are under the passanger seat

Ohm loads probably off. Arent the stock speakers 8 ohms?
