Ok, so I don't feel like paying best buy another 100$ to re install my sub in my GSX, so today I am doing it my self for the first time. As of right now I have the center console and stereo out, the only problem I am having, is where the hell does the remote wire for the amp go? I have to go into best buy later and get a new cap for the speaker wires on the bottom of the sub, one fell off and ran away.

I have always ran my remote wire from the amp to the radio fuse in the fuse box.

there should be a wire for the remote on the radio harness, then just run that to the remote terminal on the amp.

check your wiring diagrams, but if i remember correctly it was always a single blue wire on my alpine and on a pioneer i had.

any idea which wire in the pic is the remote wire from the head unit, i know blue is supposed to be it, but i think there are 2 blue wires. one spotted in white, one solid. I have never done any electrical really before so how would I wire it into the radio fuse if i went that route?

on most the wire should be solid blue, but i have come across a blue w/white or yellow trace.

it should be blue and white sometime it even says remote

Industry standard is solid blue i'm pretty sure. I've installed many radios in my time and everyone it was blue.
There isn't any need to run it through a fuse as it's a simple O/I wire with very little power going through it. That is unless you want to choose when it's on and off, in which case i would just install a little coffee maker switch.

I had to buy new posts for the bottom of the sub box, since no one had the freaking little screw on cap. going to wire the remote wire into the fuse box, i already but my head unit and console all back together, just need a lace in the firewall to run my power wire through now. almost done.

does that mean your deck doesn't have an amp remote? hmm, that sucks. If you're going to run the remote wire directly to the fuse box, i'd recommend putting a switch on there so you can keep the amp off when you aren't running the stereo. Why up the hours on it when you aren't using it, right?

Good luck probing the firewall, I hate doing that! Such a tight space to work under the dash and behind the engine.

The blue wire is the remote/accessory ouput line. Industry standard.

What cap u talking about?

the cup on the bottom of the sub box that the speaker wires run too, there is a red and black cap for posative and negative wires, one of the caps came loose and is gone. i'll get a pic tomorrow.

Just go to Radio Shack a get a new speaker terminal.
