sound from afpr when turned on...

I have a hissing air leak sound when I turn on my Aeromotive Afpr with dsmlink with engine off. I don't smell any gas or anything...

Is it normal to have a loud air leak sound?

No. (And I'm sure you meant "when I turn on my fuel pump"; not the AFPR )

You should hear the pump running in the back, and hear fuel running through the AFPR and the lines. Sometimes they will flutter a bit depending on how smooth the flow from your pump is... but you shouldn't hear air. In fact, with the engine off there shouldn't be any airflow around the AFPR in the first place.
