Hi guys im trying to wire up a dvd screen to my head unit and i need some help on some abbreviations.

Acc.
AMP REM
ANT REM
B. UP
ILL
ATT
PARKING

If u guys have a write up on how to wire these up please let me know.
Thanks

Did it come with instructions??? Do you have the proper harness adapter? Using an adapter is the only way to go, it will have instructions on how to wire it up. And you won't be hacking the stock wiring harness.

I have the harness. My only problem is i dont have instructions and i dont know what the abbreviations mean. If u guys know what those abbreviations mean i would really appreciate u guys telling me.

Ok heres what the abbrevaitions mean
Acc- is your ignition power for the radio, it probally is red on the radio
Amp rem- is the output to turn on an aftermarket amplifier, probally blue or blue with a stripe
Ant rem- is to your power antenna wire, probally blue or blue with a stripe
B. up- is the constant wire that lets the radio keep memory when you turn the key off, probally yellow
Ill- is used so your radio can dim when you dim your dash lights, cant remember that color
Att- is used to mute your radio if you have a car phone in you car, its probally blue to

You probally want need th Att, Ill, or Amp rem. They dont have to be hooked up for the radio to work. You can hook up the Ill if you want it to dim. And the Amp you will use like i said if you have an aftermarket Amplifier in your car.

Here you go...

ACC = Accessory Wire (12v on when accessory is on) -> Connect to RED

AMP REM = Remote Amplifier Turn on (for aftermarket amplifier) -> Connect to your aftermarket radio REM input

ANT REM = Power Antenna -> Connect to BLUE

B. UP = Backup Camera Feed (only needed for Reverse gear to trigger backup camera on screen) -> Connect to wire that goes to power on the backup camera

ILL = Illumination -> Connect to ORANGE/WHITE

ATT = Mute for car phone -> Unnecessary unless you have a 1980's car phone

PARKING = Parking Brake sensor for screen (Ground this wire so your screen works even without the Parking Brake engaged) -> Connect to BLACK

You are going to also need the following wires:

YELLOW = Constant 12v feed -> Connect to YELLOW
BLACK = Ground -> Connect to Good Body Ground

Enjoy!

Now for your second question...is the JVC head unit a DVD player? If so, all you have to do it hook up the AUDIO/VIDEO OUT on the JVC to the AUDIO/VIDEO IN on the Sony. Otherwise just hookup the AUDIO OUT of the JVC to the AUDIO IN of the Sony but bare in mind all you'll see is a pretty blue or black screen. Oh, and if you do that, make sure your speaker wires are run to the Sony unit or an aftermarket amplifier otherwise its kind of pointless to do it.

No on having a dvd player. Im still waiting for some funding for that one.
I pretty much understand everything u told me except my only proplem is i cant find the audio in of my sony.

One more Q. Is there anyway i can watch tv from that lcd>? If yes how would i do that? and is it worth it?

The audio IN wil be a RED/WHITE RCA wire combination with a 3rd one being YELLOW. You will be using the RED/WHITE combination.

As far as TV, if you mean "cable" or "satellite" TV the answer is NO to "cable" like UHF but YES to satellite TV with a satellite TV kit using the AUDIO/VIDEO inputs your screen has.

Hope that clarified it.

Ok nvm i got it sorted out..
I use the supplied unit and connect the connection box and from there i usethe rca's.
I was overlooking my problem.

THanks again for your time and help.
