HI guys i bought a used sony XAV 7W screen and accessories that came with it. I wired it up and it seems that the screen turns on once in a while and then turns off for some reason. I cant get the remote that came with it to work. Im almost positive i have it wired up correctly.

My problem is that i cant get the screen to go under Video 1. Its only goes under AM/FM.
If you guys could help me out i would greatly appreciate it.

THanks

I have an indash dvd on my old car and I'm not sure how your wiring is, but on mine there was a wire that is to go to the ebrake. Essentially what it does is, you can only watch videos when you car is in park with the ebrake on. It's simple to bypass this by just grounding it out to a constant ground, like a screw or wire, etc...

also as for the remote have you tried fresh batteries? i know it's a "duh" question, but just makin sure because when I first got my dvd system I got so excited that I forgot to pull the plastic tab out from between the battery on the remote to the terminal and I couldn't figure out why my remotes weren't working.:dsm:

I have the parking brake wire grounded so that i can watch the screen at all times and yes i have tried putting in new batteries.
Still nothing
Thanks anyways
