bought the car 3 weeks ago for 280.00 didn't run (has the 1.8 liter sohc), so i took it to the shop, told me it was the fuel pump, (guy told me to just kick the fuel tank to get it to start), went home ordered a new fuel pump, installed a the fuel pump, got its from performance fuel pumps. for 50.00 its allot bigger than the stock one. but i made it fit (barely), car started and ran good. then on Tuesday tried to go out for lunch car dint want to start, just sat their and spun. about an hour later the car started, (barely) i had to floor it and was trying hard to die, but their was some hella black smoke coming out of my exhaust. darker than diesel. but it started. no trouble until Saturday i took it around to the audio store, no problems then i got home and had to go to work about an hour later and it didn't want to start, but i kept trying and about 20 min later i got it started
then toady i went to work, tried to leave for break and the car actually started a couple of times but as soon as i let off the gas even a lil bit the car would die. after work about 5 hours later at 10:00 it started up.
problems i already know
blew out my cat
need a new fuel pump, (already ordered it)
need a new valve cover

What happened here is you bought a fuel pump that flowed more than the stock fpr could handle. This caused your car to run rich and clog the cat and not start easily due to the spark plugs getting soaked.
Get an oem fuel pump.

is their something else i could get that would solve my problem????? i plan i getting a 4g63 motor to swap, but i need a list of everything that i would need
