I have a really good supplier for cf .....I was mainly working with green cf for my car, fuel door, glovebox and trim stuff. And also a black cf hood Im doing with a green cf overlay (clearcoat was very bad and it had some big chips) this weekend. I started a bout a month ago and posted some pics on my home forum, LOL and wound up making 1g & 2g fuel doors for the members there. Let me know what you guys think. I'll have my hood start/progress pics coming out this weekend though after its started.

A couple of the pics are work in its first stages
LOL and the green fuel door is really on a green car.....it takes bad night pics(looks blue)

I like your work with the CF but im not diggin the green color (maybe a little too green? If it had just a green tint i think it would look 100% better).. The original CF look looks great though.

I agree with Livid. The green carbon is a little much. Maybe if it was a green kevlar and black carbon it would work better, or if you shot it with green clearcoat.

What kind of stuff would you do for a 1g and how much to do it? (No green)
So it doesn't turn into a forsale thread, Pm me and we can talk about what you want/price. I have a complete parts car to make molds from .

The carbon fiber gas cap looks funny on the car.
Yea that is a bad pic, it doesn't help my car looks blue at night under flash. I'll snap a better pic today after a much needed wash.

I'm not sure yet on the status on going with alot of green cf on the inside, I'm going to play it by ear as I get rid of all the white. And also I'm working on some more pieces without using the green tint which looks so much better, not so much of a GREEN look to them. Those pics were more of an introduction for me (experimental stage) in colored cf. I got it down now l

Heres a few pics of the new black ones I'm doing on my car, I swapped out the green one for now. And also swapped out my tail lights back to stock

What are you doing to make the green so bright? Is it in the cf?? I think it would look hot if you just sprayed the cf with a green candy for a more cleaner look. :thumb:

I really like the gas tank door. By the way, what product did you use for your interior panels (white)?

Its just a tint for the resin, the cf is green also though. And looks so much better without the tint added. I'm redoing the gb right now for a new twist I just finished on one.

nope its held strong for over a year now.....LOL tough thing is trying to take it off.Even around the radio and door handles where it sees tons of abuse it has looked just like the day I painted it.......heres my trunk after a year with much stuff seeing its way in and out of there I used gloss in the back to help accent the neons and the diamond plate.

so what sort of weight savings am I looking at here?
absolutely none, its a wrapped stock door.I didn't think the true cf door would hold up very well with the pushing of it to close it. Especially here in nj where you can't pump your own gas.....and well the derelicts here tend to want to slam it shut as a signal your done.......drives me nuts. With me not knowing what kind of abuse like that it would see, its better for me to just wrap them and not have an unhappy person telling me the gel coat cracked. I can get them very close in the finish as to not stick out from the body......and they do have some adjustment ability. :thumb:

edit: glad you liked your door snowman :thumb:

If someone were to buy a cf door from you, how would they go about attaching it? Do you ship them a whole new gas door? Or does the person send their door in to get wrapped?

Questions like that should be in my pm I'm not trying to sell here, just showcase some work :thumb: but yes new door. I started re-doing my black cf hood last night in the green .....looks sweet so far.I'll try to get some pics up after the weekend when its not in the early stage

It wasn't that hard to do really......I think it took more time to make the template and make sure it was right. After cutting it out(jigsaw) a little grinding and whatnot it was done. I guess the hinges for the middle took a little to line up and work right but not to hard at all. It also gave me two nice places on the side for track legal bottle mounting locations.

niice can u do my sunfoof cover?
Probably not going to get into to much more until I set-up shop in my new garage when I move next month. Not that I can't though, I just have way to many different projects going on already with cf for some others.Maybe in a month or so though.

Well this is another glovebox I just made for a member of another board I belong to.......came out sweet. I just ripped my green one back apart to redo it with the new lock design I came up with................totally sets it apart from stock imo and locks twice as nice.

Whatcha all think
