I need serious help. Well i was taking off the crank pulley i saw here on dsm tuners someone said to put a 1/4 or i think it was a 1/2 socket with a 6 inch extension into the crank and then use a 3 jaw puller so it can have something to push against it well it works to get the pulley off but the ####en socket got stuck i was only have to take out the extension i mean the soket is like 1 inch inside the hole. So then i tried drilling it out and the ####en drill bid snaped inside the socket now im stuck and pissed off ### i cant take it off any ideas on what i can do :beatentodeath::spam:

A picture would help but If i am understanding you correctly, I would spray pb blaster in there let it sit overnight If you have a welder get a cheap extension weld it on there and pull it out. If you cant weld some type of 90 degree seal pick or anything to that nature. Last thing I would do would be get a dremal tool with a hard carbide bit and take your time and dremel the socket out. Hope this helps

+1 for PB blaster. That stuff's amazing. You could try heating up the metal around the socket. I'm not talking about burning hot or anything, just warm it up enough to expand the metal around the stuck socket. I've done this many times to free up old, rusted, stuck, or seized bolts. Maybe it'll work with your problem too.

just realized that it was inside the pulley id try some type of slide hammer, drill and tap the socket and try to thread a slide hammer into it is the only thing i can think of

Use propane Torch, Heat up the inner hub of the Pully. Nice and hot. Then Drop a Ice cube down into that socket, Let it almost melt then drop in another. This will shrink the socket insde the expanded pully.
If you do it fast enough the socket should fall right out.

Get a stick welder a 220 every buddy has a friend with one. A steel rod that will fit in the end of the extension or whats left since you tried to drill it out and then weld it in to the end get a slide hammer and go to town. that should get it out! :thumb:

well i made new tread on the begining of the crank and used a smaller bolt and took off my power steering and the car seem good thanks for your help.
