I just got an act2600 clutch put in my car,(along with alot more, In profile if it matters.) Anyways, I broke the clutch in for the proper break in period but when i got on it, and let the clutch out fast, It didnt come up quick it kinda stuck to the floor, I hadto lift it back up with my foot. Also, The clutch doesnt feel as 'heavy' as it should.. As in pedal pressure. I was told it may be my slave cylinder? Or master cylinder? If so, are these a hard job to do, And does anyone have any other ideas of what may cause this? The car is a 1992 Talon Tsi fwd if that matters also.

Check your clutch reservior, see how much fluid you have. Also check under your car for leaks. If you see the reservior is dry, add some brake fluid until you can determine what is blown, the master or the slave. I have been told that the 2600 will take care of buisness on higher mileage master and slave cylinders. I was told to replace both of mine before I put my 2600 in.

I've never had 'hands on' experience with bleeding the brakes or clutch, Only when if I were the one pushing the break pedal constantly
Anyways, Thanks for the information I guess i'll hafto try that first, If not.. I'll be getting a new slave and master cylinder I guess.

I replaced the slave cylinder and bleed the clutch. It worked for a bit, But the clutch still did not feel like the (hard pedal pressure) that it should have. Last night, Shifting got a little hard and then my clutch pedal stuck to the floor again. I hadto lift it back up with my foot. What else could be causing this to happen?

any engine problems to go along with this? j/w, because isn't this symptom related to crankwalk...you're 1g, so i guess no sweat

When I first push in the clutch, At the very top it has about an inch or so free play, And then once I push it down further, It still feel's kind of 'mushy'. Is there any other parts or anything I can do to make this feel better? It's an act 2600 with only about 700 miles, if that.

getrid of the accumulator (20 braided line @ RRE or other vendor) and the restrictor on the slave (free)

Try the slave first cause its free!

You did have the flywheel step machined for an ACT right?

Check your master cylinder for leaks. If you have high mileage that is the likely suspect.

-Follow the rod from the back of the clutch pedal to the rubber boot on the firewall
-push the clutch in a few times
-if the rod comes back out oily or there is brake fluid on the boot replace the master cylinder

I would also get the SS line from RRE or Slowboy while you're at it.
