Well i was driving to the dyno today after work to watch my buddy dyno his car, about a block away i shift into 3rd(babying it) and it grinded bad, more than usual, i thought maybe the syncho took a dump, but then i pull into the parking lot and realize my clutch wont disengage, and is making a growling/grinding noise with the clutch despressed. I have an ACT2600 with a streetdisc, im hoping one of the springs just snapped and the pressure plate is ok.
When i pull the tranny tomorow and if it is the disc that broke, im trying to decide between a 6 puck unsprung or sprung. what do you guys think? I DD my car everyday and sometimes see traffic being that i live in NY. What advantages are there to having an unsprung as opposed to a sprung? Is it just that there are no springs to break off?
I currently have a 50 trim but plan on going with a 3065 in the next year. If a 6puck sprung will snap a spring just as quickly as a streetdisc will then i dont know if i want to go sprung... what do you guys think?
