2g DSM Install Kit 16g 14b FMIC SS Line Jpipe J Pipe:eBay Motors (item 190317637611 end time Jul-27-09 17:57:55 PDT)

It finally got here. BUt i have a few questions.
1. From everything you see there in the picture, what else do i NEED?
2. Will i need couplers if i am running a smic? -if i do need couplers, what size?
3. what the 'L' pipe for?
4. and on the 'L' pipe, whats the little nozzel/nipple thing for?
5. If i have everything shown in teh picture, will the install be pretty straight forward?

1. Oil drain tube or modify your stock one. Water lines or bend stock ones. Exhaust gaskets
2. Stock smic? You might be able to reuse your factory rubber hose to connect the J pipe to the smic
3. No idea what thats for, maybe to connect to the smic
4. The nipple is for a boost souce for your mbc. It would be better if it was on the J pipe if you end up not using that L pipe
5. It shouldn't be too bad

1. How do i modify my oil drain tube?

2./3.- Thats what i believe its for also.

4.I guess ill be getting a mbc soon. Whats psi should i run the 14b at? i only have exhaust/intake.

5. ill let you guys know how it goes. Thanks.

The L pipe is to connect to a FMIC. I have one and it goes directly after the turbo or J pipe. You can actually use the L pipe in place of the stock lower pipe but you will need a couple for it. If you choose not to use the L pipe, you'll need to get a 90* elbow to hook the J pipe to the stock rubber pipe. Yes you will need couplers. 2.5" will do.

You can modify the oil drain by cutting it, then attaching the separate ends to it's respective places. The space in between, connect the correct sized hose and use clamps to keep it on.
As for how much psi to run, log it, and see how far you can take your injectors to 80-90% IDC.

By the way, if you're asking these kind of questions, the install will be less than comfortable.

You just need to oval out the 2 bolt holes on the flange that bolts to the turbo. They are just spaced slightly different than your T25 was. You don't need to cut anything.

For now you just use the factory pressure source or run wastegate spring pressure.(I'm not sure what that is on a 14b)
As far as psi I would keep it around 12 or less until you have supporting mods and a way to log.
