I have an N1, full 3" (with hi-flow cat) and it's not very loud. A little louder than stock, but not half as loud as most N/A Hondas/Nissans, around town. I drive around cops all the time without a second look, maybe it's different in L.A. though.. i dunno..

I don't see how removing the muffler, will help your situation. I read up on the SRT-4 Forums sometimes, just for entertainment purposes. They seem to get hassled and ticketed all the time because of their lack of mufflers, and their cars come that way stock. Good luck I guess..

Yeah theres emission laws in the South East part of the state. Though in Madison I've never had a problem, only not having a front plate.

In Milwaukee? I stay away from there.

To me it still looks like a dinky little muffler. Just super loud hahaha but honestly just IMO and my experience with driving these cars since I was 16 (21 now) it's the huge "aftermarket muffler bling" factor that gets to cops first before the sound is even present. I was once parked before and a cop(friend of mine) told me that his partner ticketed an N1 style mufflered car (scoping it out) before the car was even STARTED. Basically it was parked first, cop was chillin waiting for the car to be started. Then BAM ticket ahha

I have a thermal, I got a ticket for a loud exhaust. Its only loud in the city or places were it can echo off.

But I have my freind drive the and at WOT it is loud, im used to hearing it inside the car.
