So why does this happen? I heard someone say something about door switches going bad? When I open the doors the lights don't go on but I think they do when I close the door after it was running. Also I am not sure if this always happens but if I lock the car from the pasanger door I don't think the security goes on

you have a short somewhere in the wiring. go get a new alarm hooked up by some pro's and just have them rewire everything.

I had the same problem and it was the switch that turns your lights on when you open the doors. I just unscrewed mine and unhooked the switch, screwed it back in, problem fixed.

where is this located and any chance you can draw on a pic of where to do this?

I had the same problem on mine, It ended up being the hood pin in the engine bay. I just bent it up some to is make good contact with the hood when it was closed and I havent had the problem since.

Yep, what they said. I had the same problem. I put a couple washer under where the hood pin mount is and bent it up a little. Problem solved. :thumb:

hood pin? As in the thing that when you pop your hood you slide your fingers under and move it to open? Or what is it?

You..... you can't find the door switch?
It's the rubber button at the rear-bottom corner of the door frame.
Goooood luck.
Ah, didn't think I would have to pop it out.
