Here are some pics of the exhauset ports it looks like to me that the valve seals went out but it is also cover with oil on the timing belt side of engine like if the head gasket went out.

whoa, your car is in bad shape.

that looks like engine oil, burnt oil (possibly from your intake)...

and that wet mess by that really old timing belt, is that watery or oily?

you should take off the head and inspect each cylinder and look at the head gasket that is on there to see where specifically the problem is.

what kind of shape is your turbo in? you might want to take that out and take a good look at it as well. if there are shards of turbo flying through your engine, that would be sad too.

heh, I thought my car was in bad shape when I bought it with a cracked turbo exhaust housing and exh. mani...
 
Valve seals most likely from looking at the pictures. Do a compression test and see what results you get. That will help tell us if the hg is going out. If the compression test comes out good, i'd move on to the leak down test next. Good luck. Oh yeah replace that accessory belt before it breaks on you.:thumb:
 
Well the turbo is actually in good shape, I also checked the intercooler piping for oil sings but nothing. On the side of the timing belt that is oily substance. I'll try to do a compression test. A couple of people where telling me that it might be the piston rings. so i was just thinking of repleacing the engine.

It definitely looks like leaking valve stem seals. Worn piston rings should not cause oil to come out of the exhaust ports like that. A compression test will help to diagnose improper sealing between the valve and valve seats but not defective stem seals. Having said that it never hurts to do one as there may be other problems as well (worn rings, head gasket, valve seats as mentioned).

Don't be so quick to replace the engine. The bottom end may be fine. You may just need to have the head worked on.
 
Changing the engine? Why not just Have work done on it... for the same price you can get another engine.. you could have fresh internals, machined mating surfaces, new gaskets etc.. Don't go throwing money at a problem to fix a problem... You'll just end up with more to fix and that can get quite expensive.

Isolate the problem.. Fix the problem.

That looks honestly like valve stem seals. If you want to make sure for a peace of mind that its not the piston rings, remove the head and look... You'll know if somethings bad... Or you could shine a light into the spark plug holes with the piston at the top of the cylinder and look for an oily shiny surface.
