So my car is smoking really bad at idle after its warm. It's a white/blue color and it's pouring out the exhaust, but once i start to go it will stop. Just recently, the CEL came on and it was a EGR valve recircutlation malfunction, could that be the problem? It smoked a little blue when i took off with my 14b, but now with the 16g the problem is worse. Shaft play is minimal, no in and out and the car boosts great. I searched but didnt come up with a solid answer, thanks

if it were valve stem seals, why would it get worse with just a turbo swap?

Assuming that your turbo isn't shot... I'd check for a faulty PCV valve. If the PCV valve is bad (which most likely it is because they're pieces of sh!t) then you'll be boosting your crank case, which can cause oil to be pushed into your cylinder. With 118,000 miles on it, I'm sure the rings and seals are worn anyway and having a boosted crank case will make the problem even worse. This would also explain why your seeing more smoke with the 16g then with the 14b.

Do a boost leak test and while you're at it, double check that your PCV system is hooked up correctly and is functioning properly as well. If that doesn't work out, then definitlely do what 1gDSM4g53 said and get a compression AND leakdown test done pronto.
