Ok I can't seem to figure this one out. This just started two days ago, I finally decided to take my car on kind of a long ride. About an hour and a half one way. Towards my destination, I went wot a couple times and when I left off the gas to shift, I smelled this awful smell of oil and I don't know what, but it was nauseating (sp). And smoke filled the cabin, then blew out the window.
Now everytime I go WOT it does this. When I got to my destination the valve cover had tons of oil on top. I immediately assumed the oil cap, but that thing is tight as new, so I'm guessing a cracked valve cover. So after I get home last night I take the valve cover off, put a new gasket along with rtv just to be sure, replaced turbo mounting gaskets and dp gasket.
Drove it to work today and still gettting the smoking. Plus there was a huge puddle of oil under my car, the tranny has oil on it, and pretty much everything else. I'm not sure if this is a result of the cracked valve cover, but it did look like the oil was spraying everywhere.
Another concern is the smell of the oil. It smells so damn gross, I seriously can't smell it or I get lightheaded, and no I'm not a p#ssy
.
So what would cause the oil to smell like that (burned hair, and acetone?)
And why would smoke be getting in the cabin.
Please help I'm at a loss.
Thanks
