i just installed my T-28 , i know there is oil and coolant getting to the turbo. I havent driven a mile yet, and when i opened the hood, a small amount of smoke is coming from the turbo, is this normal for break -in?

yes it is, just as long as it is a small amount. Besure to look that there is no oil leaking out of the oil line just to be safe. But read the VFAQ here: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/2G-16G-2.html and read #35.

Hope you enjoy the new turbo. I love that little guy. Makes driving fun with alomost 0 lag. Still want to get my T28 to run a 12.5 or better at 4200 elevation. Think it will be done this coming up summer. YEAH

also start looking into fuel upgrades, engine managemt for the fuel upgrades and a new clutch. My stock lasted quite a while but one night I went out on 110 octane and some decent boost. It finally let go. Bouncing off the rev limiter just after shifting to 3rd is not cool when in a race against C5.
