Ok I have a quick question when my car is at idle You can smell gas like crazy i thought i had a fuel leak but I cant find one my car runs a little rich at idle (13.5 wide band) i run 35 psi of fuel pressure with 440cc injectors I have all the emissions junk off my car would that cause it?

I use transmission assembly lube to prevent cutting of the injector o rings when installing them. 13.5 air fuel ratio is a little rich compared to ideal but it's not really crazy rich. You said you removed all of the emissions stuff so i'm thinking you smell maybe fuel vapor getting traped under the car when your sitting still. The EVAP system is supossed to collect these vapors and burn them at the approperate time. If removed the vapor will come out the top ot the tank through the vent line and get traped under the car hence the smell.

All the injectors look good Im thinking the problem is the lack of emissions crap. This may sound retarded but what is the optimal fuel air mixture 14.0 is what i was thinking also my wide band jumps around like its on glee that's normal right?

The optimal air fuel ratio for gasoline is 14.7. Which ironically is atmospheric pressure at sea level in PSI. but back on topic i'm not sure about it jumping around. For most power and reliablity 12:1-13.5:1 is the best range. At idle you can go a little lean 15:1. I usually use EGT sensors for tuning.

If its jumping around while idling you could have a small vacuum leak, which could be comming from your lower injector seals. Also just from personal experience, check the fuel line going into the fuel rail from the filter. That plate that is held on by two bolts has an o-ring in there as well. I've had one leak and cause a fire:cry:, so i'd check that too!

i didn't think about that but if you eliminated the emissions components you make have created a lot of vaccum leaks unless you were miticqulous about pluging any open line you have left on the car.
