Smashed Talon into a telephone pole...Can i fix it?

Well last ####ing night i was drivin down the road car hydroplaned right into a telaphone pole....

The damage is the whole driver said of the car except the back bumper is pushed in. The door is pushed in and the front left side of the car is and all the windows cept one are smashed... The engine of the car though looks perfect...Nothing is wrong with the front end only that one side of the car...

Is my car totaled you think? Or can i fix it...How much do you think it will coast to fix the driver side of the car..

Well if the whole drivers side is pushed in it will most likely be a write off because you will have to replace the entire drivers side. But again, with out pics we can't give you any for sures.

Doesnt sound like there's much damage.

It should buff right out, if it doesn't use a small can of touch up paint.

no man it wont buff out i hit the pole going about 60 the driver side is pushed in pretty bad to the point were u cant open to door.

if i was you i would try and find a cheap shell and move all your stuff

Front wheels look messed and the whole rear quarter panel. You would need new windows, door exc. To much to fix

I agree with everyone else. The damage is too severe, sure it *could* be fixed...but it will cost more than it is worth. Buy a shell, swap it all over. Keep any extras that tend to break and part out the rest.

Heres what i say...

If u have full coverage let the insurance company total it out. I had a 94 1.8 POS and wrecked it, the ins. company gave me 3500. I was stoked, i took the money and put it toward a 95 GST.

Check the classifieds here. There are some really nice 1G shells for $1500-$2000. You could also convert to a manual tranny if you wanted to. Just find a shell that was a 5-speed and you can probably find a tranny for like $300-400.

If it were me I'd start parting out that car and go for a new one, I don't think a damn-near 12 year-old car is worth trying to fix that much of the body.

Because usually when the damage is the extensive the car never feels the same. Its not just the body you have to worry about, you could have damaged something else on it and not know it until later down the road.

as "paranoidTSi" said, you'll pick up things that have been damaged by the accident along the line..
your 4g63 probably got a good shake inside the bay. things can be cracked or loose. if unlucky bent.
and your suspensions gonna need some work.
you might of snaped an axle boot, screwed your alinement, etc..

yah i was goin about 60 around a turn it wasnt a bad turn tho then it was raining earlier that day and there was leaves on the ground i didnt see and my car slided on them and went sideways into a 4 mailboxes and a telephone pole..knocked the whole pole out of the ground.

yah i have to pay for the mailboxes the telephone pole and i got 2 tickets for damage of property and not controlling my car...life sucks

But i just went to a junkyard found a 92 eclipse FWD has a engine and shit in it but the tranny slips i guess. He wants 600 for it...will my cars engine fit in there or does it have to be a AWD?

Can i also take the parts off that car u think and put it on mine such as the hood fenders and door...

How much are axels to fix too?
