smaller turbo to manifold gasket

i just changed my turbo to manifold gasket. i put one on that the hole on it is smaller trying to create more back pressure. is this good or bad? now that i did that when i take off in the car it sputters bad at first then goes is this because of the smaller gasket?

why do u want more back pressure that a bad idea.take that gasket out asap.if u want more back pressure than get a 1 inch exaust from turbo back. most people up grade to flow more air not take it away.

i have a 3in exhaust and i am told i dont have enough back pressure which is why i have boost creep. am i being told wrong ive done everything that i have been told to do and i have yet to fix the problem

You have boost creep because the wastegate hole can't get rid of exhaust gas quick enough and in enough volume to maintain your lower boost level.

They only way you are going to be able to fix this is to port your wastegate outlet in the turbine housing, and or running more boost (but that will require more fuel and proper tuning.)

restricting the turbo=bad, there is a reason people port the manifold to make the outlet as big as they can.

yeah that was kinda useless, port out the the wastegate hole in your exhaust housing and if you want you can get a tubular 02 housing to make the flow nicer. that should take care of your boost creep. also do you have a cat? if not then put one back on for now

yeah i have a cat and i dont know what a open o2 dump is also i was wondering when i do a blt should there be air leaking out of my dip stick hole
