What could cause this?

I know I have a bad ISC motor, (don't know if this could be the problem or not).

Do have a mis once and a while, has to be coil pack because the plugs are the NGK with bosch wires (want NGK) once I the money.

Starter yes needs to be replaced (have no idea if this could have any affect or not).

If anybody has advice it would be appreciated.

But this is not all the time.

Had an oil leak in the timing which is now being taken care of by a garage and will have my car back tomorrow night.

They did the timing belt, oil pump, water pump, hyd. actuator, and something else can't remember, my balance shafts are removed.

I know I was havin some issues with my ISC, and it started off "not all the time" and then ended up being a PITA every time I started the car. It's like 80 somethin I think for an ISC, might be wrong. If I knew something with spark was messed up I'd get it fixed pronto..

I learned the hard way maintenance has to be takin seriously with DSMs, you are better off spending 200 now to treat it right then 2,000 later cause ya F'd somethin up, trust me. Hope some more knowledgable fellers chime in, but there's my .02 !

Did you do a boost leak test?

Not for a bit.. mechanic even said it seemed sluggish, I'm betting the couplings for the intercooler pipe have leaks because of the front and rear motor mounts being bad causing stress on them because of constnantly being stretched with the motor rocking.

Cause I also noticed that if you hit the throttle and let off immediately it wants to choke out / die out but usally doesn't (yet). But once it warms up this typically never happens (only very rarely).

Well car has a lot more power (I know there is boost leaks mainly at TB elbow from motor rocking so bad), but other than that no more leaking oil like a SIV from a missing plug between the oil pump and BS which I have BSE but no plug = eventually massive oil leak.
