Oh great...he's stumbled onto another thread.

Seriously, do you have anything better to do than troll the forums and ask "What's the point of that?" "Heck, I can do that for all of $1.76+tax!" "You don't need that, let me tell you how you should do this."

 :thumbdown

BTW, awesome manifold. Looks beefy! :thumb:

youre right, how about i just praise everything that's ####ing retarded.

also don't have to worry about it cracking at all because you still have the thicker walls that aren't ported. :thumb:

2g manifolds rarely crack.

Thicker flange does three things for us,

Less chance of it warping.

Moves the turbo away from the water pipe by a 1/2 inch.

Less sag over time from heavy turbo's pulling down on it.

cragger

show me a warped 2g manifold. show me a stock manifold that has sagged.

A new big turbo and an exhaust manifold that outflows the stock is retarded? Why does it seem that you're against all that is "non-stock"? If that's your problem, then you should keep it to yourself, instead of trying to wisecrack on everyone and every thing. In case you missed it, this is DSMTUNERS.

They do crack. I have 2 of them in my garage. Excessive heat/pressure from large turbos tend to do that to cast manifolds.

show me a warped 2g manifold. show me a stock manifold that has sagged.

Like I said, there's two 2G manifolds sitting in my garage collecting dust, cracked and warped. Cragger meant the FLANGES. Again, heat and pressure over time will warp any flange, which makes it unable to keep a true seal against the head.

But then again, since you're so against "aftermarket" modifications, you wouldn't know half the problems of running setups larger than stock.

this guy is clearly looking for a flame war.

only when a ported stock one performs exactly the same. didnt say anything about the turbo buddy.

In case you missed it, this is DSMTOONERZ.
like this thread has anything to do with tuning.

better stay away from this manifold then. in case you missed it, it is cast.

excellent. lets see some pics. im so glad that someone here has a "warped" (sagging) manifold, because cragger just pm'd me admitting that he doesn't.

But then again, since you're so against "aftermarket" modifications, you wouldn't know half the problems of running setups larger than stock.
like you know anything about my setup.

Kooka,

Look man, don't F**K my thread up with your stupid ass double talking.

If you would simply think about it for more than a second or two you would realize that if you port a 2G manifold out to the size this one is, then hang a bigger sized turbo from it, it WILL have some adverse things happen OVER TIME. Thinner walls, flanges, etc. can not take heat and pressure, basically stress, on the metal as well as thicker ones. I don't want to get into it with you, it is a complete waste of my time and yours, just don't quote me making it sound like I do not know what I am saying. Give it a rest and try to give some postive info. when the chance arrives. :thumb: Later.

So this manifold is mainly for asurrance rather than performance? As in... A more reliable piece? Also it looks soo good.

Both. The runners and ports are much larger, so no need to port and hog it out and leave weak walls.

It flows as good as it looks. Yes we were hoping for more reliablity and more flow. We accomplished both of those goals pretty well. We also wanted to help the common problem of the water pipes due to varying compressor cover sizes, and although we could not eliminate it, we found that we helped the situation.
