i just did a rebuild on the engine, and when i drive it, i can move while the car is idleing or a little above, but as soon as i hit the gas the car doesnt move a quickly as the rpm. i put new clutch (act 2600 street disk with a new findanza flywheel). as i shift into second, it slips less, when i go third gear , it even slips less than 2nd.... and so forth up to 5th gear. but if i floor it even in 5th, it still slips.

i know its not the clutch and flywheel. when i changed the tranny fluid, there was some metal in the old oil. but the trans shifts perfectly.
it did the same thing before i pulled the engine for a rebuild, so i figured it was the clutch

Have you verified proper clutch adjustment?

If you (or the previous owner) had adjusted the pedal to compensate for a worn clutch the adjustment may be way off when the new clutch is installed, putting pressure on the clutch at all times and causing it to slip.

well, to see if what you are saying is true, i took the clutck rod completly off of the slave cyl., and it does the same thing

go to the tech vids section and watch the clutch alignment. perfect detailed video. mine was doing this with the act 2900 fidanza flywheel install

problem solved. or i should say that i figured it out. i didnt think it had anything to do with my clutch, cause if i put it in gear and revved the balls off of it, i didn't smell clutch burning, and i was correct. as i was ready to pull the trans out, i happen to look at the splines on the output shaft and the transfer case. the splines are almost invisible. so i took the side cover off of the trans and removed the ball for the output shaft, put the transfer case bolted back up and tapped the output shaft into the t-case more, and bolted everything back up and took it for a ride..........sweet. i pushed it in to the output shaft too much and now it is dripping fluid out of the seal, but i only did this to see if it was my problem. and behold, it was. so now i have to locate a replacement output shaft. anyone have an idea where?
to the people that say that if your t-case goes, the car can't be driven, they are wrong. i could spin the shaft in the t-case by hnd, thats how round off the spline were, and the car still drove, but like it was a slipping clutch
