So, I searched and couldnt find a definitive answer. I have had the car for about a week. I changed the spark plugs with bosch super coppers because the autozone didnt have the NGKs. The car now sputters at idle. Also idles high around 1500 rpms. But sometimes it idles normal.

And then other times after i start it it begins to stall. But if i start driving before it stalls it goes back to normal. It pulls hard and does fine while accelerating, no jerking or anything. Cant seem to find the problem. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Car is a 1990 Talon Tsi AWD and has 110,000 miles on it.

Check for boost/vacuum leaks. Easy way to do this is to spray brake cleaner on suspected areas with the engine running. If the engine raises rpm, you've pin pointed the leak.

Get the standard copper NGKs, gap them to .028"

And search for a thread on testing the ISC. the Idle Speed Control.
If the problem doesn't get solved with these two things, (including the boost leak test) it could be the problem I have. Which is apparently a bad drive on my ECU that can't power up my ISC. ): The only way to fix it, is to pop in a new ECU or sending the unit in to be fixed.
Best of luck man.
