Slave cylinder question

I don't think so, it's just a little thing to restrict the fluid a little. Just put it back in how it fits, there's no angle that should really matter.

I bought a non-oem slave cylinder and it did not even come with the spring-plate assembly.

It might if you're hammering on the clutch in a way that'll make the gearbox go soft like a half-hour old bowl of corn flakes, but in normal or even spirited street driving, I haven't noticed a difference. Same for yanking the line accumulator, except with the flex line in its place I've stopped cracking hard lines.
