He ended up selling them after only like a few months of owning them. I tried getting him lower on the price so I could buy them but he wouldn't... completely understandable. They are hot!

InfiniteGSX is there a faq on how you illuminated "Eclipse," I searched for it but no such luck, if there is none then you should write one because it looks awesome!

Give me... a week or so and I'll have one up... I'd like to post pictures and make sure its writen properly so you all can understand it. I know sometimes I get to talking about something and nobody has a damn clue what I'm saying.

I believe this is a link to a write up on lighting your center tail
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258719

I do not agree with the way he did things on that writeup... He's using 3 fog light bulbs, they get hot... and how he's setting it up will expose them to the world which could catch on fire to something.... Also they take alot of power. However really bright. mine does not require any cutting like that, actually no cutting, just a little sanding on the lens and I use Neon or LED Bars for the lighting.

Here are mine:

What he prob did was he sprayed a very, VERY light coat of VHT Nightshade on the tails first... then masked off the orange and did the rest of the tinting... then pulled the mask off and pulled the TALON letters off... they would have acted like a mask.

to take the letters off just use soapy water and 1500,200 grit paper and rub away. then just polish it.

Quick question, non related. The licence plate... did you have your licence plate sprayed over? And if so, is that legal? or just a show off plate?

I read all of your stuff on when you were dont the lights... and you redid some of it to get the lighting right when there was a slight dark spot on the "I" of "ECLIPSE"... Your a god! You inspired me to do everything that I have and what I plan on doing. Which isn't near as technologicly advanced as your tails... but I like it!

I was actually wanting to talk to you about... well my LED Tails I did... I wanted to make the new ones that have like 100LED's per cluster, to set them up to be able to do a RADAR Scan look... but from thinkin about it, might be too much work then I'm willing to put into it.

Actually, how hard would it be to do LED Tails that just look like they do in that last setup... minus the cool show off effects? Just to light up....signals, brake lights and parking lights.

TrboANTsi, your making me want my talon wing earlier!

The green plate is not used on public roads.

To do just the LED tails like mine, minus the display flashing, is still an incredible amount of custom work.

Is this legal?:tease: flashing leds someone might think your a cop. It is pretty cool though

Nothing about my tail lights would be considered legal in the eyes of US DOT (Neither is my full HID E55 projector conversion for that matter).

I only do normal tail light functions and 7-segment sequential turn signals on the roads (BTW, even the sequential turn signals are illegal on any vehicle maufactured after 1980). On public streets I only run the marker light LEDs at 5% brightness and the brakes at 35% brightness.

I reserve the full 100% power and back-forth flashing, etc. for off-road and shows only. I am very careful about not trying to look like an emergency or police vehicle out on the roads. That would not be too bright (Yes, pun intended). :D

I'm confused on the HID E55 Projector Conversion not being legal. HID's installed in non HID housings such as... stock eclipse headlights like mine, with HIDS... yeah I understand that those are illigal because of the beam patern is way different. But Projectors that came with D2S HID's... That should make it legal... Could you explain this? Not like I really care what DOT has to say... they can kiss my a** for all I care... but just for the record, to let it be shown and maybe if your right, we can stop telling people that thier headlights will be legal only if they do the Projector Retrofit.

BTW, just letting you know... Your a god! Your work inspires me!

If you read deeply into the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 108 you will find that a headlamp is certified as an entire assembly incorporating all of the leveling devices and any assorted decorative surrounding bezels, exterior lenses, etc. Once a projector is removed from that assembly it is not considered to be certified. Projectors themselves do not carry certs. as stand-alone units.

It still is a far better choice to properly install a full projector system from an OEM car than using HID kits to drop in only a bulb but technically, neither meet the standards.

Just to keep this tail light related, here is the very first tail light video I did before I had the whole "Light Show" system was installed.

Nothing too crazy. All red tails on a talon instead of the red and orange and then a painted center piece.
