should i use vacuum caps on my egr valve nipples?

i noticed my egr valve is missing vacuum caps there are to nipples comming out of it so should i cap them or not? my tb nipples are all capped.

It's your egr valve nipple. It needn't be capped, but the nipples on the TB which connect to it should be capped. If your vacuum valve is present and functioning, you should just re-connect your EGR system. It doesn't hurt performance, it just helps emmissions. I know on the 1G it's all vacuum/mechanical; no electronics. IDK about 2G.

yes my throttle body nipples are all capped except for one because thats hooked up to my mbc. so i dont need to cap of my egr valve nipples?

i ran around for a couple weeks without mine capped and i didnt notice any problems. you should be ok, but i would get a block off plate if you plan on getting rid of the emission

yah or remove your EGR valve and install a EGR Block off plate

And the EGR might hurt performance.. it will heat up the charge temps, maybe only alittle bit.. warmer charge temps will decrease power. Probably not noticeable however
