I have been threw 2 sets of bpr7es in like the past week and a half I mean granted I'm trying to street tune the car and it might run lean for a little while trying to tune but still these plugs shouldn't b e going this fast. I don't think even with a tune that's off a little(riches 11:1 leanest 16:1) that the plugs should be going like that. I'm only boosting to like 10psi too that's what's got me stumped. Timing is pulled and all. I'm not seeing any knock or any abnormal readings in the link. I guess I'm just trying to see how serious of a setup you need to run 8's. From what I"ve seen 6's are stock type cars 7's are for light to mild setups and 8's are for very hot race type setups but my car is pretty modded.

Pump and the 16:1 is like like decell. For the most part i's like 14:xx while cruising I have idle a little high due to venting(yes I know it's only till I have money for the new maft gen2) so at like 1200 it's a little rich like 11:1 maybe 12:1. how much timing should I be pulling and around about what rpm point do I need to pull the most? Like I had it zeroed out at first but for a 1g i know it has a aggressive timing map.

Oh great just got off the phone with Innovative when the lm-1 box starts to read error open pump tat means the sensor is going bad so I been trying to get a base tune with a ####ed up sensor that's super.:notgood:

Bosch sensors love to go bad. For now on, if I see any afr's out of wack, I suspect the WB sensor off the bat.

Yeah looks like i'm gonna have to hit up innovative for another one that's like 80 bucs because the dealer wants liek 200 bucs or something crazy. I'm a wholesale parts counterman and I can't find anyone that will beat that 80 bucs from innovatie anyone else know any cheap alternatives?

I run BR8ES at 30 daily psi on pump 93 and meth. Yes, BR8ES, no protruded tip. Less knock. I changed them out about every 3k miles or so. The ONLY downside is they are a little less cold friendly, but it clears up after about 10-15 seconds of idling.

yeah but 30psi on pump will make plenty of heat especialy on a stroker. The idea of a colder plug so I could run more timing and boost on pump did cross my mind though in more of a performance kinda way .

By the way I figured out my problem my fuel pressure was set at stock 33.7 because I was trying to eliminate things when the car first wouldn't start after the fresh 6 bolt swap. Turned the pressure up set the dead time and global to the correct settings and it runs a lot better and the plugs are stillc ool that I just put in. tomorrow is fine tuning with my new wideband sensor on pump gas.:rocks:

The bpr8es are still in question ad like dan I want to run a lot of boost dialy on pump???

I run 8's. Just regular ngk's from advanced for $1.77 ea. No problems here, I run 27psi on pump, 23ish degrees of timing. No problems here. Plugs always look clean, and never foul out.

wow, I used to have to change my plugs every 3k.... Corse it was untuned, still is actually. I have just done more to it now.

God I can't wait to get to GA and get this bi*** to a dyno shop!
