The build included the stock bottom end parts with new bearings and piston rings as well as new oil and water pump... Also the timing belt was replaced at the time.

Yeah, most of the people here have paid that much for a stock one. If its in good running shape and he has kept up all the service I would go for it. If it really has all that stuff done to it thats like 3k in parts alone. Plus 3k for a stock 2g. Come on?

Make sure to do a compression test, and shake down the suspension if possible.
But if everything checks out, I would get it.

I bought mine stock for that much 3 years ago.

more pics... yeah they are small... but hopefully they give a better picture of the car overall...

"Here are the pics from the interior. Sorry for the delay but I had significant computer difficulties. I took one of the top of the A-pillar gauge cluster to show the one and only bad spot in the headliner area (its at the corner so look good at the pic). I also took a pic of the black plastic door hinge on the drivers door which needs to be replaced. It has a crack in it (but still works perfectly) so it pops when you open the door. Also I took a shot of the passenger front fender to show the issue with the end cap. I will have the back seat and trim reinstalled before you would get the car so dont worry about that. I do have a lot of extra parts and car cover and such that will go with it too."

Sounds like a good deal. Is the title clean? Also remember that the car has a 7bolt motor that will eventually crank walk. That car would go for 6-7k if it were stock, so i would jump on that deal. One thing that i didnt get was, why a 20g with 550s?

Eventually crankwalk??? :nono: are you kidding me?? crankwalk is overrated, it happens but that doesnt mean it eventually will. do a search on it and you'll see what i mean.

I personally wouldn't want to buy a modded car, because it was most likely beaten on that much more than a stock one, but that's just me. What most people said here, I would just check up on the car and make sure it's all up to par. 6K sounds kind of cheap to me. Hmm. Yeah and Blackmitzu, crankwalk? ....Nevermind.
It looks clean. Let us know what happens. I love white 2g's:thumb:

Looks good, just do everything everyone stated. Just from the pic of the engine bay it looks like osmething that was taken care of, you should see some of the engine bays of other dSM owners, yikes.. but just double check everything..

and like everybody else.. Blackmitzu, eventually crankwalk? LOL

I add to the crankwalk comment.:beatentodeath: Now man if you do a car fax and dont use up all your searches wana do my tsi for me :D . Also judging from the pic the car has been in the shop or is around a shop. SO the person owning it now must take car of it or definitly keep it up to par. I know if had that set up i would run it a couple times for sure. WHO WOULDENT!!! Then again id keep in with in its bounds and not break anything. Check fluid also. My friend bught a mustang and the guy didnt put oil in and he got screwed. Overall it looks like a built engine. For 6g it seems fair. Hey if you dont feel right buy a stocker off some granny and pay the 4g to get it to where that is(that is if you want it like that set up, which IMO is a good set up)

hey just by experience dont by a built up car, i know it seems great now but you dont know how everything was done and how good i was set up, I personally think it is better to by a fully stock dsm, probably rare but I found one.

Well I bought the car. The build up was done by a shop locally that I know VERY well to do good work. So as far as the buildup, I wasn't worried. I am buying this car fully aware (have extra cash around 3k) to fix it if something ends up breaking so I do know what I am getting myself into. I got the car for 5.8k with an extra Type S blow off valve, fog lights, stock headunit, stock tail lights, side markers, stock exhaust, brand new skunk2 coilovers, and some other random stuff. I must say this car is awesome. I also thought the injectors were kinda small for a 20g, but I plan on upgrading the safc and 550's to a dsm link and some 650's or 700's. Thanks all for your help :thumb:
