For a while i thought my gs's (wintercar) tranny was messed up, i pulled my shifter boot off and it looks like my shortshifter is loose?? never had this happen, here are some pictures...

Sometimes i couldnt get inot first because the shifter was pulled out to the left as shown in pic.2 ....i thot it was my tranny but its indeed the shifter thats not ahving enough space to get into gear...

I attached them..

Should i tighten it up? leave some space? or leave it?

I cant tell buy your picture but is there supose to be a nut at the end of the bolt that goes through the purple housing? Why would any one manufacture and anodize some thing you cant even see?

Ok yeah theres a little nut on the end of the bolt on the purple side in picture 3 the bolt stick through, theres a nut on that side jsut cant see it...but theres not one on the shifter bar side, the shifter bar is threaded.
should i tighten it? so theres no play??

yes you should but i agree with that guy what is the point of anodizing something when you cant see it

OO most short shifters are colored and I have a see through shift boot with LEDS under there so...it glows?
