HELP me! I just installed an after marked short ram intake and a greddy blow off valve type RS. It makes the BOV noise, but it also makes a whooshing noise that is coming from the filter on the intake, like it is sucking too much air. Could there be something wrong with the factory censor that connects the filter with the intake? And when it makes that noise, the BOV noise is less strong. It barly makes a BOV noise. At other times, it doesn't make the whooshing noise at all.

short ram? anyways i think you mean you put on a intake, but yes it will make that noise because your new cone/mushroom/whatever it is is less restrictive then that box you had. and are you recirculating your bov? you should if you dont have a maft

I am sorry I am such a newbie...What does it mean to "recirculate" and also maft? I just started modding my car and need help! Sorry to be so silly.

first off you need to recirculate (the bov vent goes back into the intake tube) or your car will run rich between shifts and have a hard time idling.( there are some cars that dont but rare) also a maft is a maf translator where you use a gm maf so you can properly run a vented bov and also use to tune your fuel.
