short in my car

So first off let me say sorry for post's befor.
sorry for grammer and spelling errors.

Ok so this is what my car is doing..i plug in the barrire and it makes a click sound when i try and start it. my friend that was watching said it smoked white from somewhere. Now my car wont even try to start or make the click sound. i looked everywere for a blowen fuise but nothing. if i press on my break pedal all the dash lights will turn off to. So tell me what you think thanks

Well could be alot of things, 1st off the clicking sound? is the Battary grounded properly? and ya freind said he saw white smoke everywere? thats not really a good sign. I would 1st check the battary, if its hitched up right ya will kno if ya leave the key in or lights on it will beep like a mother when the door is open. 2nd got anyway of checking the fuses? could always pull them and check them. I also would look at your starter? is it properly hitched up? also is your ECU in good shape or did someone play doctor on it

Check your grounds. And is it a new or used battery. Is it charged??
