Hello, I’m currently looking for some info regarding getting a transmission worked on out here in Arizona. I have a 95 Eagle Talon FWD that I plan on putting some power through, but and I want to make sure that the transmission can handle it first. The car drives beautifully right now and I would be purchasing a spare transmission to rebuild so that when the time comes I can simply swap them out.

Put a shiftbox in it, crank up the line pressures and it will love you. I did the Kiggly 5 pak 3rd gear also in my AWD but it doesn't even have a shift kit, just ForcedFour's SmartShift 100.1. Look at my profiles at the Blue 92 and view the videos, that is the shiftbox doing all the work.

So I guess now my only question is if it’s worth to do this on a higher mileage transmission, the chassis of this car has 200k on it but the transmission feels like it has less then 100k on it. I’ve heard that cranking up the line pressure can blow out seals

Well I guess it sure could. I know that the way I am upping pressure is electronically thru the New TCU box. It has sooo many options. It's like Link for your tranny.
I haven't taken my valve body apart since its working great but am well versed in modding them to increase pressure too. I think the Shift Box way is working great for me and I'm really throwing some juice to it. When I go ahead with the E85, I may need to put the TranSlab 175 in the VB to keep the slippage down since that will throw a good amount of EXTRA power over what I'm already giving it, which is an average of 450hp with 20% drivetrain loss. But its just a guess, no AWD dyno close at all.
Soo, dump the fluid, dont clean it. New filter, New Fluid and a ForcedFour SmartShift 100.1 so it is still truly Automatic but you can manually shift, or PROGRAM it to shift where you need it and control all pressures on all bands (shift points). This is just my opinion but I'm running it and have all the write ups on it here on the forum, well the FIRST ones, and I appreciate the others for there experiences and advice too.

I checked the mileage on my 92 AWD Auto Car and it has 180,000 miles on it. When I put new 3rd gear clutches from Kiggly in it, it looked like it had a good life luckily. It was used in bad weather hilly areas but appeared stock when I did that upgrade.

Dang okay well this info makes me a lot more confident in this transmission, and the forced four smart 100.1 looks like a great option for a street able transmission with the option to switch between the stock tcu and this one, this car will be a mostly daily driven streetcar and I would only really need the line pressure at WOT for slippage.

Was the smart 100.1 difficult to install? I’m reading that this box and a good cooler is basically what you need to make it last. I’m not going balls to the wall I just wanna make more then 300 to the tire

Yep good cooler(s) and the shift box was easy once you understand it. I don't run a factory TCU anymore, that's how much I like the SmartShift.
