Shop Manual CD

I want a shop manual. Should I buy the CDs on ebay for a few bucks? Are they the factory manuals, or is there any other resource that is better?

I already posted a thread on this so reference it if you want. From the questions I see on here, not many use a shop manual, main reason I did my thread!

I purchased a CD set off of ebay and it is pretty good. I do not like Acrobat Reader, but it works OK. I recommend getting both CD’s, if you have that option. I got the “stand alone” CD, and the CD that allows me to install it on the puter. I do not remember who I got them from, but it worked good, and was only about $15 bucks shipped.

The books are good too, just depends what you want, but I think you get more years/cars with the CD’s!!

I purchased a DSM CD from a website

I found this to be infinatly usefull. You can print out a few pages and take them with you as opposed to having a manual. It also includes the extensive VFAQ, 1000 questions answered and the complete talon digest archive. The ammount of information in it is staggering.

But yeah, no matter wich one you get a digital shop manual is preferable in my opinion because you can print what you need and actually not worrie about getting it dirty.

in my opinion, i would steer clear of the ebay ones...i thought i got an awesome deal, "FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL CD'S"...they are just sh!tty photocopies of a chiltons manual, and they dont have everything on em...i say DONT BUY IT....just get a shop manual....and all the extras that were on the cd's were crap....just my $0.02...

Mine too. Off eBay. It is an exact copy of what Mitsubishi uses.

i musta gotten a dud cd then...because its all photocopies of a manual, and also, i try to look at the adobe stuff and it has some error, and i have tried to fix it with no luck....musta just been a crappy seller/cd...

Once apon a time back in the twilight of the TalonDigest and the hayday of ClubDSM a few brave souls weary of the vast quanities of misinformation and ignornace sought out and apprehended the various factory service manuals documenting the sigificant versions of Talon, Eclipse, Laser, 3000GT and Stealth. Enduring great hardship they paintstakingly fed the scanner beast the pages of said manuals converting the condenced knowledge from a decade of japanese engineering into two little 12cm plastic disks. The great task completed, they made the results of their quest available for the enlightment of the clan at manualcd and all was good. Evil beings discovering the value of the captured photons quickly struck out to fill their own pockets by copying the disks and distributing them on eBay.

Thats what I was just gonna say in a not so eloquent way.

People worked incredibly hard,
others ripped them off to make money.

The 30 bucks is HIGHLY worth it instead of giving 10 bucks to a kid w/ a cd burner.
