So I'm doing the final restore on this old fella and as you can see the shock towers are mint. They should be as this has spent the last 20 years avoiding rain and sitting in the garage at the sign of any rough weather. Guys that have replaced sections and fixed that area up I assume they are trapping moisture between the two layers tack welded together there. I was just going to re seam seal the area up but was wondering if anyone that has opened that area up would think it would be worth trying to get some Ospho (Phosphoric Acid) to convert any surface rust that may be lingering. I'm not really sure what the life style of the cars that are rotting here are as opposed to the ones that are not. Thanks!
