Shifting problem

Ive searched on this but no one seemed to be having the exact same problem... 75% of the time I'm having ALOT of trouble shifting into first gear..the clutch has to be all the way in and I have to push really hard to get it into gear. 2-5 are perfectly fine and in reverse it will go partially in but then i have to slowly let off of the clutch before it will slip completely in. These problems happen most of the time but not always.

I am having the same problem, except my reverse grinds sometimes.....And I have to be at a dead stop to put in first.....

I have the same problem with first, some times I have to let the clutch out a lil or off the brake to make the car roll.

Scroll about two thirds down this page but make sure you need if first by measuring the free play.

mine did the same thing but its ###### not the same as urs i was completly out of clutch fluid. now i have to re fill it every month or so but im not sure

YES! I have the same exact problem, i've broughten mine to 2 dealers near the cities and they have charged me for work that didn't fix the problem. I've had my synchros checked and re-checked their fine, got a new clutch, still same problem, im going to try to adjust the pedal and see if that happens.

Yes i do the SAME thing, i press all the way down on clutch to shift into first, and can't so i lift off the clutch just a little and it goes in. In a few weeks i can reply to this thread and update on the pedal adjustment.

check all the bushings under your center console, if you replace those with metal ones it helps alot too

Wow. and here I thought I was the only one in the world with this problem. I have the EXACT same situation as you do. Gonna try and adjust the clutch this weekend, will report back.
