shifter linkage problem

[95 tsi awd]

I ordered shifter linkage for my 92 awd from mach V motorsports and it does not fit. the stock linkage has 2 adjustments and the linkage they sent me only has one and it wont fit on the shifter right when you get it on it doesnt go into 1st 3rd and 5th. i dont know why it doesnt fit right any ideas?

Our cars have two different kinds of linkage. On some cars you can only adjust one of the linkages (Side to side I believe). I believe you ordered the wrong one, but I'm almost positive with the proper adjustment you can make it fit.

well i called the dealership and they have he same linkage they gave me the same part number too. i dont know what to do i think im going to buy used linkage on the forums
