So I need to know if there's an issue across the DSM production line with the manual shifters. About an hour ago, I took off and my shifter broke off of the pivot assembly. This isn't the first time I've encountered this problem though (happened with the spyder I had a couple years ago). This time, like last time, the weld job that holds the cylindrical shaft to the assembly failed and fell off the assembly. I'm going to the salvage yard in the morning to try to find another one. That'll just be a temporary one though. I'm gonna take the original to a weld shop and have it rewelded, hopefully stronger. Anyone else have this happen? Or know of a permanent, stronger solution?

:dsm:

can you post a picture? I have never heard of this happening or have had this problem myself. Maybe you need to be a little more gentle on it haha

I'll post a pic in the morning when after I remove the old assembly. I know I've been kinda hard on this shifter due to my crappy transmission, but my previous one, I never was forceful with the shifter before it broke. ;)

This happened to me but with a B&M short shifter..id imagine they broke due to maybe slamming gears...? probably since thats how mines broke LOL now im riding with the stock shifter again :ohdamn:

My last one broke before I got the B&M shifter for it, and this one also has the stock shifter.
