ok now i just had a jdm tranny put in my car, and the factory cables broke so i had some N/T cables put on the car and now every so often the shifter dose not want to go into 3rd gear. i know it isnt the trannybecause with the old cables it would go into 3rd easy, but with these it wont every so often. there is no grinds no shifter play. my question is are the 1g N/T shifter cables shorter in any way, or could it be that i need to put turbo cables on it. please help  :laser:

im pretty sure that the cables are different because the trannies are different... im not 100% sure though, definately worth checking.

no, i didnt an shop put them in, but i have also noticed that it only dose it during spirited driving.

Well, what I would do then is take apart the center consul and pull of the cable that moves when you move the shifter forward and backward. Then go to the transmission and put it into third by hand. Go back to the cockpit and push the shifter all the way forward and see if they line up perfect, if not then adjust the cable. After adjusting it then go put the trans into 4th and move the shifter all the way down and make sure they get pretty close to lineing up.
