Shifter Bushing Washers Needed?

My question is i have them all the way on and it doesn't seem to give me room to put the washers on at all. Will i have a problem if i don't put the washers? Anyone else use this kit? Have them on my 1g Eclipse with a TRE stage 2 tranny don't know if this matter but doesn't hurt to know either...

no, you won't need washers - when i did mine though, i bought some heavier-duty cotter pins instead of reusing the flimsy stock ones - has been working great for me for years this way

Correct, the washers aren't needed. I don't have that exact kit, but I have the SpeedSource brass bushings. I would recommend getting a hair cotter pin (same thing that came in my kit). They're much easier to use and cleaner in my opinion. They also seem more solid than a typical cotter pin.
