well i have had a sfmu here at the house for awhile and i am ready to install it. i have seen and read the install diagram on 2gnt but i have a question. i have read about people just "putting a bolt into the stock fpr" and not doing anything else to the supply line. where in the fpr does this bolt go? pic's would be nice but words will do. thanks

i saw that one. i might have it figured out. i guess you can take the little stock fpr off the assymbly(fpr, filter thing) and then put a bolt in it's place. that way you can use the stock fuel filter and not have to mess with the supply line that much. if i am right please someone tell me. also what size bolt will i need?

haha, sorry only part i don't remember exactly although i do wanna say its a 12mm x 1.25 pitch, not sure though easiest way to do it is take it off and have another car to go the parts store with and just get the one that fits

"after i pull out the stock fpr/filter assymbly i unscrew the stock fpr. do i plug that hole with a npt fitting or something else? does the fitting have to have a nipple on it for the vac line? what size thread is the stock fpr?
thanks all"

Use a bolt no vac line needed the only reason you have one run back there anyways is for the fmu, putting the sfmu up front youll just be running a vac line to that instead of under the car to the fmu since fmu will be gone

went to napa and the bolt is 12mm 1.25 thread. i got everything installed and i started my car. my fuel pressure gauge pegs out. and the car runs like crap. wtf. i bought the sfmu used could it be broken? any ideas?

is the screw on top all the way in? if so that's probably the problem b/c it will make your fuel pressure so that it keeps rising, would think most other problems you can have with it would not result in this, but if that's not the case i would start by taking a look at the diaphram inside and checking your spring disk combo.....

just thought of this one, did you take the schrader valve out of the test port on the fuel rail? if that's still in there it will cause you to see really high fuel pressures
