well i was wondering if there is an easier way to get the timing belt on after i slipped it off of the cam gears when i took off the head? i thought i'd be able to get it back on like my honda but i guess i was wrong.

Take the tensioner off and compress it in a vice and put a nail or something in the hole until you get the belt on and then pull the nail back out.

yeah i know to do that if the timing cover is off... mines not i'm trying to do this without pulling the crank pulley off(something i don't like to do). i'll ###### just pull it off and pull the tensioner just to be safe.
