Setting off alarms

So earlier i was parked at the parts store and my car was just idling and it set off the alarm on the car behind me haha

How many people have done this?

my car can if I rev it a bit, but at idle the only one it's set off was my friends TC, it has a super sensitive alarm.

Ummm does setting off all of the traffic cameras with the sound of your BOV count??? . I did that One day I decided to vent an HKS BOV I had; I revved up the engine while Idleing at a red light and all of the traffic lights on all four sides went off flashing like crazy .

BTW I actually find it annoying when a car makes the alarm of cars go on .

Yea it is alittle annoying. I've set off alarms at a no throttle roll but it was the first time doing it with just a stand still idle

Oddly enough, I set one off yesterday. It was in the spot next to me and went off when I started my car.

I can't remember the last one I set off before that. I have a pretty quiet car unless I romp on it.

Its kind of a good feeling to set random alarms off at idle

Haha it either shows the power or shows the lack of a proper exhaust? Either way, open downpipe really sounds fun. I was thinking of trying it for a couple weeks. Does it actually cause boost creep or is that a myth?
How's it sound when you're on the freeway?

Happens to me every time I pull into my school's parking lot. Pull in in 1st and I set off the nearby row, which ends up echoing and causes a chain reaction of alarms on all the floors

I havent done it with exhaust yet. I did it all the time with my stereo tho. Everytime I drove threw this one spot in DC past an apartment complex I always set off the same jeep liberty's alarm.

On my 92' Eclipse N/T i cut the muffler off and just welded a 3" exhaust tip on(actually looked pretty good) I used to love when i would go in the underground parking garages. Most fun ever.

I use to do that all the time just driving down the street in my truck, 400hp 350 with a 3 inch exhaust and flow masters don't see it happening any time soon with the gst though.

I was messing around today and realized that my wastegate was partally open

I readjusted my actuator and now its closed untill I hit high boost..
The car is still pretty loud but not like it was
