Alarms and Car Starters

What are good alarm systems? and maybe something that will allow me to start my car from inside so it can warm up, etc?

Well, it would help some if we knew what kind of car you had.

My old integra had a clifford alarm system on it, which was a nice little system. It was loud too. And my Talon has a viper alarm system on it. They both work just as well, so it's basically just preference and what you're looking for.

If your car's automatic, and you want a remote start.. just pick up a kit. Most local audio shops around here sell remote start kits.

I'm getting a 5 speed, but I heard there is a way to unplug something so u don't need the clutch to start it.

Its illegal in a lot of states to put a remote start module on manual vehicles but that doesn't mean its not possible. You would install the alarm as normal and then unplug the switch on the clutch pedal that senses when you have the clutch pushed in to start the car. Thats it... and its not to hard to get to either. And all DEI (Directed Electronics Alarms) are about the same but the most popular are Viper, Avital, Valet, and Clifford. There are more just go to Directed.com to see them all. Good Luck!
