Anybody have the service manual on cd from fp? I just saw it on their site for 35 bucks, wondering if anyone had it and if it was worth the 35 bucks? Basically everything I've done on my car has been from my haynes manual or this site I was lookin for another reference for our cars. If not this one can anyone recommend another good manual for our cars? I already have the haynes and the regular owners manual thanks guys.

Nothing beats factory service manuals. Many times they assume a basic knowledge of things, so you might not get step by steps instructions. There is much more information in them though. I think my electrical manual is much bigger than a Haynes, and the other manual is like 4 times the size of the electrical. I prefer print myself over .pdf, but that 's just pesonal preference. $35 is a good price for the inforamtion, I payed around $60 for my prints about a decade ago, and I never regretted paying that.

My first question would be, where can you get it cheap? Any place you can get a... cough... pdf copy? I've looked at some of the "old" places that sell online copies posted around here, and the websites don't work any more. Plus I would hate to spend $35, or even $20 from something that came from the dealer...

I would have no problems paying 35 dollars for the cd if i knew it had more info in it than what i already have. I've looked for regular manuals as well but everyone wants an arm and a leg for them. It says its a backup cd but I'm looking for a full fledged copy of everything possible.

Just found volumes 1-3 for the 99 eclipse and eclipse spyder are they worth 95 compared to this cd being 35? They have some 10 dollar cd manuals on there too. I just don't want to buy something that will end up being useless. The paper manuals would be nice but are they really worth 95 dollars?

Give me a little bit and I'll post some links to something you might find useful....

OK, here's a bunch of DSM related info in .iso format, so you'll need to burn to disc or use winrar or similar software to explore it.

DSM manuals and info

Those set of 3 manuals are really nice because it showed me how to take out my engine and put it back in the right way ( was my first pull ). They have detailed pictures in the manuals, the only problem is that there big and bulky. You can get these manuals pretty cheap on ebay, I was lucky enought to get them with my car. But if the CD doesn't have more info then what I have already I won't need it.
