sensor on back of motor

hi i have a 92 2.0 liter turbo 6 bolt motor and there is a sensor on the back of the motor that has one wire going to it and a small phillips head screw in the middle of it. it is right around the freeze plugs like just below one of them and its directly in front of the rear bracket for the intake manifold and screws in to a hole in the block. what am i looking at here?

Not sure about the screw on it, but that should be a knock sensor. Has a wire coming out of it and is about a 24mm ?

Thats your knock sensor. Dont remove it unless your replacing it with a new one.

If the screw is exposed, it is probably time to replace it with a new one. It is supposed to be packed with a black gooey substance that cushions the sensor and provides for proper operation.

o okay yea it is the knock sensor then. there was barely any black goo in it . but yea the wire broke off so im going to put new in and reconnect it.
