1G Seat restoration options

Anyone tried to restore their seats? The foam has gone flat in my factory fabric seats and I'm practically riding on springs. It's also possible that mice have eaten it all. I don't want to replace them because the fabric is perfect. I'd prefer to fix them, Just wondering if anyone else has tackled this and if so, what can be done.

Take to a shop to have repaired im taking my leathers done in vynl find another seat or put a cover over it its something you gonna have to decide what works not much options these are old cars.

There's lots of good upholstery shops here in the LA 'hood' areas of town... They can restore all the padding on the seats as well.....I'm thinking of getting my cloth tan seats redone with black PVC vinyl leather look....with diamond tuck in the middle areas...after all its Diamond Star Motors!

Wow that's not bad. I remember lots of good upholstery shops back in LA. They are far and few between here on the east coast. Looks like I might have to find a pro. Thanks guys.

If you find one local let me know, I'm about 20 min north of the valley and would love to have some options in getting my seats restored professionally.

I just had mine recovered, though I didn't need any padding repaired. I just had surface level cracking in my leather and they were ugly.

A local upholstery shop did them. They can repair foam no problem. They glue more on, and shave it back to shape. I've done it with motorcycle seats before and it's not too difficult.

Just over $800 for the front seats.

If OP's covers are in good shape then foam repair shouldn't cost much at all. Building these covers from scratch was very time consuming.
